Walking is an extremely beneficial exercise. In general, it is a relatively easy exercise to undertake and to schedule into even the busiest of all daily schedules. Not to mention, the advantages you gain will undoubtedly provide long-term results. Walking can help you develop much more than your body. It can also help you achieve peace of mind and spirit.
Body: Walking is an aerobic exercise. It will increase your heart’s strength and ability to pump blood to even the outermost limits of your body, increasing circulation. Beyond merely “invisible” progress made internally, walking will also help to develop your muscles, providing visibly increased muscle tone throughout your body.
Mind: Meditating while on walks allows you to free your mind. If you choose to walk alone, this time can be effectively used to think, or simply stimulate your mind if you choose to add a soundtrack to your walking routine. If you’d rather not use music, this quiet time can allow for peaceful reflection. An added benefit is that this exercise releases endorphins in the brain. The pleasure-inducing hormones can easily turn your stressed out negative attitude into a calm, relaxed and positive one.
Spirit: Because walking is an essentially personal experience, although many people do choose to walk with partners, when walking alone you have the ability to truly feel yourself. You are in tune with your body by feeling the muscles of your body moving. You are in tune with your mind as you are conscious of your body’s physical actions. Also, the positive attitude you gain will affect aspects of your life that you would have never imagined. When you feel good about yourself and have a positive outlook on life, you dramatically increased the probability of having positive outcomes from your life experiences.
Balancing work, family, and personal issues can often be overwhelming and take its toll on our bodies, minds, and spirits alike. Walking helps to reduce the sense of being weighed down by all of these issues. Sometimes we become so consumed by the time we spend trying to sort these issues out that this can often take away from our ability to actually perceive any of the positive influences in our lives. Once you distance yourself through walking, you begin to gain a sense of clarity that you may never have been able to achieve in the midst of all the chaos.
Beside Walking, actually there are some exercise alternative when we want to relaxing our body… so there aren’t reason to be lazy….
